Threads of Thought

Just finished this painting (maybe), which will be in my solo show at Ayden Gallery in May. I’ve begun taking my own reference photos using my friends as models. It’s amazing how much more invested I feel in a painting when it is of someone that I know and care about. These paintings aren’t meant to be perfect likenesses of the sitters, though I would like them to capture something unique in the models, perhaps something that they don’t realize about themselves.
