What kind of wood do you prefer? I have been painting on pine wood "scraps" with sumi ink and at times the bleeding is to much to control. BTW your work in beautiful.
I prefer to use cradled sustainable wood panels. I sand them really well so that the surface is as smooth as possible. I do my drawing on the raw wood and then seal it before I do any painting. This way none of the paint absorbs into the wood and I don’t have issues with bleeding.
